Helping mentor groups to help our kids
The Hunter Youth Mentor Collaborative (HYMC) is an umbrella organisation for groups providing youth mentoring programs. We help develop, support and promote the growth of mentoring programs through: monthly networking meetings and special forums; funding for special projects; and advocating on behalf of mentoring groups.
We do not run mentoring programs or recruit mentors. Our members do. CLICK HERE to contact local mentoring groups.
We meet on the first Tuesday of every second month from 1-2pm at the Hunter Wetlands Centre, Shortland. Next meeting is: March 30
We hold at least one Mentoring Forum per year in partnership with Youth Mentoring Network. 2009 forum held April 30
HYMC offers Educational Scholarships to young people to help them to continue with their education and training. The 2010 scholarships were announced on Feb 2.
