Yellow Pages

Yellow Pages is part of the Sensis network, Australia's leading information resource. 

Through the Sensis in the Community program, Yellow Pages aims to fulfil its commitment as a responsible corporate citizen by reinvesting in, and contributing to, the development of the various communities in which Yellow Pages operates. 

Through its sponsorship of the Hunter Youth Mentor Collaborative, Yellow Pages is helping to connect young people with positive role models. By supporting volunteer mentor programmes - which directly influence short-term and long-term outcomes for individuals - HYMC and Yellow Pages are helping to make a real difference in young people’s lives.

 

Community Development Expenditure Support Scheme (CDSE)

Newcastle Clubs' Community Development Support Expenditure Scheme is helping young people to get the education that they deserve. Funding from the scheme supports a number of annual scholarships of up to $3000 for young people supported by one of our members who are at risk of dropping out of education.

Hunter Valley Training Company

Hunter Valley training Company (HVTC) is supporting HYMC with administration support and funding of bi monthly networking meetings for members.

HVTC has always had a very strong connection with young people in the region. Established in 1981 it is Australia's premier employer of apprentices and trainees. The not-for-profit private company now employs more than 1,300 apprentices and trainees. it operates offices in eleven regions in New South Wales as well as two Registered Training Organisations (RTO’s), one each in Maitland and Penrith.

NBN Televison
NBN Televison supports HYMC through its NBN Cares project which aims to raise awareness about the many challenges facing young people in our region including mental health, drug & alcohol issues, family breakdown, child sexual abuse and neglect, homelessness and unemployment. NBN has helped guide the development and strategic planning of HYMC along with providing major resources to facilitate its goals and objectives.  This has included personnel and administrative support, website promotion, on-air support through Community Service Announcements and relevant news stories. NBN Television provided considerable resources in establishing HYMC’s website.

Hunter Business Chamber
Hunter Business Chamber is the largest regional business representative organisation in Australia and has been leading business in the region for 120 years.  The Business Chamber has approximately 1200 member companies who employ over 90,000 people.  The Hunter Business Chamber has provided major resources and personnel in establishing HYMC and believes its association is proudly investing in the future.
